On March 22nd, Rampa Kultura in Goleniów will host an event dedicated to rewilding, combining science, film, and music. The program includes a field trip with an ecologist, the premiere of the short film “Two Countries, One Oder Delta” a discussion panel, and a concert by Michał Zygmunt (Odra Sound Design) inspired by the sounds of nature.
Spring is a time of awakening and renewal, marking the beginning of a new cycle for both people and nature. Days grow longer, the air and earth smell different, plants seek the sun, and animals bring new life into the world. It’s a wonderful time to observe wildlife and get involved in nature restoration. Three special occasions remind us of this: World Rewilding Day (March 20), International Day of Forests (March 21), and World Water Day (March 22).
The Rewilding Oder Delta team together with the Mayor of Goleniów are delighted to invite you to celebrate together at the event on March 22, 2025 (Saturday) at Rampa Kultura in Goleniów.
Feel, see, hear
During the event, you can join a walk along the Ina River with hydrobiologist Artur Furdyna and the mayor of Goleniów, Krzysztof Sypień. Participants will learn about the potential of riparian areas and how they help prevent droughts and floods. After returning, guests will attend the premiere screening of the film “ Two Countries, One Oder Delta“, a multifaceted story about rewilding on the Polish-German border.
The screening will be followed by a discussion panel where experts will explain what rewilding is and how it impacts life and careers. The evening will conclude with the concert “Wild Rivers” by Michał Zygmunt, an artist deeply connected with the Oder and the sounds of nature.
